FOOD AND FAITH AT FIVE next Sunday 24th November 5:00 – 7:00pm
Food and faith at Five is an informal gathering for people of all ages and stages, with a (free) meal and where there is an opportunity to discuss various aspects of the Christian faith. You do not have to be a Christian to attend; you might have some questions of your own to ask or maybe you just want a good meal and some interesting company! We sit at round tables to promote discussion and end with a short prayer and piece of music (usually around 6.30pm).
You do not have to stand up and answer questions, introduce yourself or be put on the spot in any way. There's no money expected and children of all ages are welcome to eat and then play with other kids.
It's a good social get together (usually with delicious dessert) and anyone is welcome to come and join us.
There are only 2 more services scheduled for this year - November 24th and December 8th. This service will resume in February.
Community Lunch
Thursday 21st November 12:00pm – final one for the year and a Christmas special.
Names to Liz Massey as usual, please.
ROSTER – the roster for December – February is ready and will be emailed to everyone. Thank you to those of you who responded with away dates. If you are unable to do your duty, please arrange to swap with someone else – thanks.
Food Bank Ministry
Our outreach for families in need in the Tapawera area will be winding up for the year at the end of November.
The generosity of our Parish Family is outstanding and just to reiterate, there is no pressure on any of us to donate to this ministry.
November will be the ministry’s 1st Anniversary and to date we have delivered 8 very large cartons.
We hope to be able to give 2 more cartons this month which will take the annual total to 10.
As these will be the last food boxes of the year, and it’s Christmas arriving soon, if anyone has little treats they would like to donate for the children, then we are happy to Christmas wrap them.
Thank you so much everyone and may God’s Blessings be with you all this Holy season. Liz Massey
