Newsletter 9th November 2023
Hi all
It's good to be back with you again. Thank you for releasing me to support Lynda while she had her radiotherapy treatment in Christchurch during October. Lynda is still very much in recovery mode as the radiation continues in the body for two weeks after the last treatment. Then there is a 6-8 week recovery. so we won't be seeing much of Lynda for a while.
Roster:
Its roster time again. So can you please let me know if you are going to be away anytime over December, January, & February. This is often the hardest roster to complete so I would appreciate your help.
Carol Service
We had a great Community Carol service last year so we are planning another one for Wednesday December 13th, from 6pm, at Wakefield School. This will be an outdoor service so bring along your picnic blankets etc and tea! [And your friends etc.!]
Combined Churches Unity Service
The Combined Churches of Richmond & Waimea will be having shared service on November 19th, 7pm, at the new Whakatu Presbyterian Church at 271 Songer Street in Richmond. This is usually a good night out so lets get together with other Christians in our region to worship our great God.
Revitalisation Consultation
On December 3rd Cameron Munro [From City To City] will be with us for morning services, and then meeting with smaller groups and individuals in the following days. He may want to come to some home groups to discuss how we might revitalise our parish & Diocese. Please make him welcome and lift this process up in prayer. More information to follow.
God Bless,
Rev. Don Moses
